The Challenge

As part of an extensive creative effort, we redesigned a legacy platform that suffered from deep-seated navigation issues and a significant trust gap. Potential recruits often viewed military messaging with skepticism, finding it difficult to get a truthful, transparent understanding of what life in the Army would look like.

✦  High-value points were buried deep within the site, creating friction for users seeking a clear understanding of career paths and benefits.

✦  The outdated interface didn't meet modern digital standards, resulting in an experience that felt impersonal.

✦  The existing site lacked the authenticity needed to build credibility, often failing to present a relatable or transparent view of life in the service.

The Process

I contributed to the end-to-end redesign within a cross-functional creative team, focusing on experience architecture, systemic consistency, and human-centric design.

✦  Restructured the site's information architecture to bring critical benefits and career info to the forefront of the user journey.

✦  Contributed to building a rigorous and scalable design system.

✦  Curated imagery with an emphasis on an inspirational tone

The Final Outcome

The result was a modernized digital platform that replaced skepticism with transparency. By surfacing critical information and implementing a cohesive design system, we delivered an intuitive interface that allowed users to see a more authentic side of the military, empowering them to make informed life decisions through a streamlined and truthful digital journey.
